Description

Delectable, lush and vibrant garden of greens, purples, and burgundy in NYC. The center of the image features a cluster of red and purple leaves, a Ti plant, that stand out against the surrounding green foliage. It stands out for two reasons: one NYC is on the 42nd parallel and two the Ti plant (Cordyline fruticosa) is a tropical broadleaf evergreen plant with colorful palm-like leaves. So, the fact that this plant is thriving in this urban garden is an amazing feat.
